Membership is open to all private media organizations operating in Nigeria, including newspapers, radio stations, television networks, online news platforms, and multimedia entities.
Membership Categories:
Full Members: Organizations that meet all membership criteria and actively participate in APPMEN activities.
Associate Members: Emerging media organizations or startups that are in the process of establishing themselves but align with APPMEN’s objectives.
Honorary Members: Individuals who have made significant contributions to the media industry may be granted honorary membership.
Membership Fees:
Members are required to pay an annual membership fee determined by the Executive Committee to support the association’s activities.
Code of Conduct:
Members must adhere to ethical standards in journalism as outlined by APPMEN’s code of conduct.
Any member found violating these standards may face disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion from the association.
Participation:
Members are encouraged to actively participate in meetings, workshops, and other events organized by APPMEN.
Feedback from members will be solicited regularly to improve services and initiatives offered by the association.
Governance Structure:
APPMEN is governed by an elected Executive Committee responsible for strategic decision-making and operational oversight.
Regular elections will be held every two years to ensure democratic representation within the association.
